Hey everyone. Hope all is well. Last thing holding me up from sending her off to paint (at least the last thing I need to make up my mind on) is what to do about side skirts. I'm going wingless and the car is a 2+2. We all know the 2+2's have a big butt and I don't have money for the TwinZ bumper as yet. Regardless I want skirts to help the car look less long in a sense and I just like the look. Originally I got the 99 replicas from IonicDynamics which don't fit at all so I would have to chop them up and extend them to make um fit. This is an option I am open to yet the more pictures I see the more I feel that Nissan could have designed them to flow a bit better. Yet its hard when you cant see things finished in person. My all time favorite skirts would be the unobtainable IMPUL skirts that I have only ever seen pictures of on KennyMonster's car. He too had a 2+2, near wingless. The closest I have found to these (recent discovery or I would have purchased before the 99 replicas) are the Bomber skirts by Duraflex. I am still looking for reviews on this company and how their products fit but from all the pictures I've seen fitment looks nice and they are flexible so no cracking. Another bonus is they don't require fillers. You might say they look similar to the Stillen type 3's but the recessed line/protruding bottom edge that gives it the aggressive look runs completely from one wheel well to the next and they stop at the body line instead of covering it. This to me allows the rear of the skirt to curve inward more flowing with the natural shape of the car, before the bottom edge protrudes outward to give it that flair. Here are pics of the 99 skirts (pretty sure most of these are not replicas): 99 skirts look as if they stick off a bit and would have looked better with fillers maybe. Here are the IMPUL skirts (Kenny's Car):
And now the DuraFlex Bomber Skirts:
The front edge of the lip does flare out a bit but it reminds me of the TwinZ sides. I plan on getting the TwinZ lip for the 99 fascia anyway so it should blend very well.
I thought it could even be modded for a slightly less aggressive look by shaving off the font tapered edge. Thus making it look near exact to the IMPUL's:
And in case you never noticed. This is what I meant by the stillen skirts covering the body line. You can see just how far the skirt runs up the quarter panel and fender in the pic without the filler. WITHOUT

So guys this may have been somewhat long but might as well explain in detail and with lots of pic's to get the point across. Let me know your opinions please. Thanks a ton. Oh and for your patience. Not the best but very Z related. Check out her necklace.
